Earthquakes & Hurricanes...

It has been a particularly unusual week in NYC - not that anything is naturally "usual" here. For a start there was the earthquake. Yes, the earthquake. Not world-shattering 95.8 on the Richter scale) but enough to worry many New Yorkers who naturally think the terrorist worst when the ground moves beneath their feet. But there was minimal damage, even though a few were rather nervous about taking the aging NYC subway system on the way home. Then bearing down on the city this weekend is Hurricane Irene. As unlikely as an earthquake - and both within a few days. Details on the programme this week - and next.
