Zachary Richard - Hot Euro Hits ! * Buena Vista - Classic Salsa & Cumbia !
This week World Vibes riffles through the archives for a selection of TOP Latino Salsa & Cumbia Hits, in honor of the 15th Anniversary of the Buena Vista Social Club album ; and we give a musical tip of the hat to Cajun Legend Zachary Richard who just had his birthday last weekend ! With some of the latest European Chart Hits thrown into the mix as well ! A true happening show you don't want to miss ! We start off the show with classic hits from Cajun legend Zachary Richard who turned 62 years old last September 8th ! He's been recording since the 70s, has won numerous awards, distinctions and even honorary degrees from various universities ! We play a few 70's hits which were included in the soundtrack of documentaries in the 2000s about Cajuns for which Zachary Richard was musical director and narrator; then we play his more recent hits. Intersperced among his Cajun gems we play a selection of recent European Chart Hits from Raf (Italy), Marc Sway (Switzerland), Tyron Ricketts with Mic Donet (Germany), Shy'M (France) and more ! A revelation !
